Cabin Classes

• Economy Class: Singapore Airlines economy is consistently rated among the best in the industry. Seats have 31–32 inches of pitch on most aircraft, 18.5-inch width in a 3-3-3 layout on the A350. All seats include a large personal IFE screen (KrisWorld), USB and AC power, and complimentary gourmet meals with wine service. Economy passengers receive 30 kg free checked baggage on most routes.
• Premium Economy: Introduced on the A380 and A350 fleets, SIA Premium Economy seats are 19.5 inches wide with 38 inches of pitch and a 8-inch recline. The cabin includes dedicated crew, enhanced dining on actual crockery (not trays), a 35 kg checked baggage allowance, and a dedicated amenity kit. The cabin seats 28–36 passengers in a 2-4-2 layout.
• Business Class (Raffles Class): Singapore Airlines Business Class is a fully flat-bed product in a 1-2-1 layout on the A350 and A380 (main and upper deck). The newer A380 upper deck Business Class features a 'Double Bed' configuration where two seats can be combined — the only Business Class double bed in commercial aviation. Seat length is 78 inches. Includes KrisFlyer Gold lounge access and 40 kg baggage.
• First Class (A380 Suites): Singapore Airlines First Class is offered on A380 routes as 'Suites' — fully enclosed private cabins with a separate ottoman chair, a 23-inch HD display, and a 35-square-foot living space. The A380 Suites can be combined into a 'double suite' for couples, with a double bed (the same Double Bed concept from Business). On the A380 upper deck, Suites passengers also have access to a private bathroom. Arguably the world's finest commercial aviation product. Includes 50 kg baggage.

KrisFlyer Loyalty Program

KrisFlyer miles are earned based on fare class and distance. The PPS Club is Singapore Airlines' premium recognition tier requiring significant revenue spend, not just miles flown. Miles can be redeemed for flights across Star Alliance partners, upgrades, and hotel partnerships. KrisFlyer miles expire 3 years after earning unless activity is maintained. The KrisFlyer credit card partnerships in Singapore include AMEX, DBS, and Citi.

In-Flight Wi-Fi

Singapore Airlines was one of the first carriers to offer complimentary in-flight Wi-Fi in Business and First Class. Economy passengers can purchase a full-flight data package for a flat fee. Speeds are among the best in the industry on A350 routes — sufficient for video calls and streaming on most long-haul routes. The KrisWorld IFE system also allows Bluetooth headphone pairing on newer aircraft.

Pro Tips

• If you can only fly Singapore Airlines once, do it in A380 Business Class on a double-bed seat (Book the Suites if budget allows). The Double Bed in Business is the world's only commercial aviation product where two Business Class passengers can sleep side by side — book seats 11A&B or equivalent on the A380 upper deck.
• Singapore Changi Airport's transit facilities are exceptional — you can leave the airport and visit Singapore even on a short layover (under 24 hours) without a visa for most nationalities. Book a deliberate 5–8 hour layover to explore the Jewel Changi complex or city highlights.
• KrisFlyer award space opens 355 days before departure for Singapore Airlines metal. Set calendar alerts — premium cabin award space (especially First Class Suites) tends to release and disappear quickly. Positioning to Singapore from the US via Tokyo or Hong Kong can offer better award availability on onward sectors.
• Singapore Airlines economy is worth choosing over competitors on ultra-long-haul routes (12+ hours) — the service, IFE, and meal quality create a meaningfully more comfortable experience.
