Cabin Classes

• Economy Class: Emirates economy features 17.5–18.5 inches of seat width and 31–34 inches of pitch depending on aircraft type. All seats include a personal touch-screen ICE entertainment system with 4,500+ channels, USB power at every seat, and a complimentary meal and bar service. Free checked baggage allowance is 23 kg (one piece) in Economy.
• Premium Economy: Launched in 2022 on select Boeing 777 routes, Emirates Premium Economy seats are 19.5 inches wide with 38–40 inches of pitch and a 8-inch recline. The cabin features enhanced dining with larger meal trays, dedicated overhead bin space, a complimentary amenity kit, and 35 kg checked baggage.
• Business Class: Emirates Business Class is fully flat-bed in a 1-2-1 direct-aisle-access layout on A380s and most 777 aircraft. Seat length extends to 79 inches fully flat with 23-inch seat width, a mini-bar, and an 18–23 inch entertainment screen. Business includes 40 kg checked baggage and access to Emirates Lounges.
• First Class (777 / A380): Emirates 777 First Class features a private suite with 80-inch flat bed. The A380 First Class has a fully enclosed suite with a sliding door, 32-inch TV screen, and access to the famous Onboard Shower Spa (one 5-minute shower allocation per passenger) and the Onboard Lounge. First Class includes 50 kg free checked baggage.

Skywards Miles are earned based on fare class and flight distance, with bonus miles available via partner credit cards and hotels. Miles can be redeemed for flights, upgrades, and hotel stays. Gold and Platinum members receive lounge access on long-haul routes, priority boarding, and additional baggage. Emirates Skywards also partners with Qantas Frequent Flyer for mutual earning and redemption on codeshare routes.

Emirates offers tiered in-flight Wi-Fi packages. Economy passengers receive 20 MB of free Wi-Fi via the Emirates App on most long-haul routes. Business and First Class passengers receive complimentary data (amount varies by route and device policy). Speeds are adequate for messaging and basic browsing; video streaming is not supported at most service levels.

Pro Tips

• Always choose A380 flights to Dubai and beyond when available — the sheer scale of the aircraft means a noticeably smoother ride, a quieter cabin, and access to the Onboard Lounge in Business and First. The 777 is excellent but the A380 is the flagship experience.
• Emirates economy has two generously different seat configurations depending on aircraft: the 777 in 3-3-3 and the A380 upper deck in 2-4-2. On the A380 upper deck, the 2-seat window columns (A-B and K-J) mean only one neighbor on a 14-hour flight.
• Upgrade bids through Emirates' bid system (offered 48–72 hours before departure) can unlock Business Class at a significant discount. Offers typically start at 60–70% below the cash price. The app sends upgrade offers proactively when seats are available.
• Check in online 48 hours before departure to access seat selection at no charge. Window seats on the A380 upper deck (seats A and K) are premium picks — you get two seats worth of aisle-free privacy on one of the world's most comfortable aircraft.
• The free 20 MB Wi-Fi via the Emirates App is enough to send messages and load emails. Buy the 500 MB package for $1.99 if you need sustained connectivity — value per MB is much better at checkout than onboard.
