The underground tram from Landside to Airside runs every few minutes — don't confuse the two buildings.
PIT has a surprisingly good airside food court that was expanded recently.
Pittsburgh traffic on the I-376 Parkway West can be very heavy — allow extra time during rush hour.
Southwest is the dominant carrier at PIT, with competitive fares to many East Coast and Mid-Atlantic cities.
The Monongahela and Allegheny rivers are visible on approach to PIT from the east — a dramatic arrival.
PIT handles winter weather well — the airport has extensive de-icing facilities from its former hub days.
