DART Orange Line (Love Field): Light Rail directly from the Love Field station (3-min walk from terminal) to Downtown Dallas (West End, Akard) in ~15 min for $2.50. Excellent option.
Rideshare: Uber/Lyft from the designated pickup zones outside baggage claim.
Taxi: Metered; $20–30 to downtown Dallas or Uptown.
Car Rental: On-site facility adjacent to the terminal.

DART Orange Line from Love Field is the fastest and cheapest way to downtown Dallas — 15 minutes, $2.50.
Southwest dominates DAL — if you're on another carrier, options and amenities are minimal.
DAL is close to both Uptown and downtown Dallas — the central location is a major advantage over DFW.
Love Field is much smaller than DFW — security moves faster and the atmosphere is less stressful.
The Wright Amendment limiting Love Field's reach was repealed in 2014 — Southwest now flies nationwide from here.
Southwest flies directly to many cities from DAL that required connections via DFW in the past.
Parking is cheaper here than at DFW; the Cell Lot is free for short waits.
